According to Sky Sports, Celtic are interested in signing VVV-Venlo centre-forward Georgios Giakoumakis this month.

This suggests that there could be room for another regular goalscorer to come in and either start alongside Edouard up front or provide serious competition for his place in the side. Giakoumakis’ unbelievable record for Venlo indicates that he could be an ideal signing in that respect.

The Greek international was directly involved in 31 goals for Venlo last season. He managed 29 goals and two assists in all competitions, including 26 goals in 30 Eredivisie games. This is a sublime record for the 26-year-old phenomenon, which is why he could be an excellent addition to Postecoglou’s side.

It is difficult to judge whether or not scoring goals regularly in the Netherlands is the same as doing so in Scotland, but he can only play against what is put in front of him and he flourished for Venlo. Therefore, he could stand a good chance of being able to adapt to Scottish football and translate his goalscoring over to Celtic.

It appears to be a worthwhile gamble for the Hoops on paper, as they could have a sensational attacking line-up if Edouard is able to plunder around 18 goals again and Giakoumakis can score 20+. Opposition defences could fear the pair if they lined up together, given their respective goalscoring records in Scotland and the Netherlands. This is why the club must work hard to get a deal over the line for the Greek goal machine before the window closes.

تحدث أمير مرتضى منصور المشرف العام على قطاع الكرة بنادي الزمالك عن موقف لاعب خط وسط الفريق الكروي الأول طارق حامد.

وقال أمير مرتضى منصور في تصريحات تلفزيونية عبر فضائية “أون سبورتس2”: “على المستوى الشخصي أحب طارق حامد وأحترمه، اللاعب تعرض للإصابة في شهر يناير الماضي، وكان التشخيص ينص على أن يتأهل لمدة 4 أو 5 أسابيع، لكن اللاعب قرر أن يتأهل بمعرفته هو دون العودة للجهاز الطبي”.

وأضاف: “نحن كنادي لا نسمح بذلك، ولكن طالما هو لاعب كبير وتاريخه جيد، سمحنا له أن يتعالج بالطريقة المناسبة له، لكن الإصابة استغرقت وقت طويل وتأخر وعاد أول تدريب يوم 5 مارس الماضي، وهذه إصابة لا تحتاج عملية ولا تحتاج كل هذا الوقت، وفقًا لتشخيص محمد أسامة طبيب الفريق”.

وأردف: “عندما عاد للتدريبات كان يتدرب بشكل جيد وأكثر لاعب يركض في التدريبات، لكن طارق حامد كان يرى أنه ليس جاهزًا، والجهاز الطبي أكد أن جاهزية، وبعد ذلك طلب أن يتدرب ولا يشارك في المباريات”.

وواصل: “بعدها شارك أمام بترو أتلتيكو الأنجولي و3 مباريات على التوالي، وفي مباراة إنبي تعرض للإيقاف بسبب تراكم البطاقات، وبعد المباراة اللاعب طلب من جيسفالدو فيريرا إجازة أسبوع ويُسافر للتأهل في المنصورة، وفيريرا انزعج من الطلب ولم يستكمل حديثه معه، لأن المدرب شعر أن الأمر غير منطقي أن يتأهل اللاعب في المنصورة”.

واستكمل: “في اليوم التالي طارق اجتمع مع فيريرا وطلب مني أن أقوم بالترجمة، وشرح للمدرب أنه غير جاهز في الوقت الحالي ويحتاج للتأهيل والراحة، فيريرا اعترض على سفره إلى المنصورة، وطارق حامد قال له أنا صرفت النظر عن المنصورة، والاتجاه سيكون إلى إسبانيا أو ألمانيا لمدة أسبوع وسأعود”.

واستطرد: “شرحت الموضوع لمرتضى منصور والأخير دعمه، واللاعب قال إنه سيتأهل مع معد بدني كان يؤهل محمد صلاح، وبناءً عليه تم منحه إجازة أسبوع، وأعطيناه جواز السفر، ولكن اللاعب نشر أوراق على حسابه تفيد بالموافقة على إجازته، وهذا الأمر سنفتح فيه تحقيقًا”.

واستكمل: “الجهاز الطبي كان يتواصل مع حامد ولكن الأخير لم يرسل أي تشخيص لحالته، هو لاعب كبير ولكن الزمالك لا يقف على أحد، لا أرى أي مبرر لكل هذا، النادي ساندك ومنحك ما تريد، إصابتك تفاقمت بسبب قرارك بالعلاج وفقًا لرغبتك أو لعدم ثقتك في الجهاز الطبي بالفريق، حتى أن الطبيب محمد أسامة والمساعدين انزعجوا من هذا الأمر، لكن إجمالًا واضح إن في أمور أخرى في ذهن طارق حامد”.

وكشف: “أنا كنت أتهرب من الحديث عن طارق حامد لأنني لم أكن أعلم أين هو وماذا يفعل”.

وعاد ليؤكد: “نحن لم نقل إن طارق ليس مصابًا، ولكن ما قلناه إن إصابة طارق كانت تحتاج 4 أو 5 أسابيع فقط، ولكن في المرة الأولى تأخر 3 أشهر”.

وشدد: “المفترض أن تنتهي الراحة اليوم ويعود اللاعب، خاصة وأنه لا يوجد ناد يُعطي لاعب إجازة 5 أسابيع، خاصة أنه لم يسافر لإجراء عملية الرباط الصليبي”.

واستأنف: “هناك مشكلة الآن مع اللاعب الذي أصر على السفر للعلاج رغم أن الجهاز الطبي كان يرى أنه لا داعي للسفر، طارق لو لم يتعرض للإيقاف أمام إنبي كان لن يطلب السفر للتأهيل”.

وتابع أمير حديثه: “هناك حالة استياء من طارق حامد وسنفتح تحقيقًا، والأمر سيعرض على الشئون القانونية، واللاعب لو قدم ما يبرر حسن نيته سيتحول الأمر للمدير الفني”.

وأضاف: “لم أكن أريد الحديث عن هذا الأمر، هذه ليست سياستي، يمكنني أن أخصم للاعب ولا أعلن، لكن أن يكون هناك سوء استخدام للتصريح الذي حصلت عليه من النادي للسفر ونشره للجماهير لتوصيل رسالة معينة فهذا أمر غير مقبول”.

وأتم: “الزمالك يستحق (دكتوراة) في الملفات التي يتعامل معها، اللاعبون الذين ستنتهي عقودهم لا نضغط عليهم إطلاقًا، ونترك الأمور للمدير الفني ليختار من يشاء”.

واختتم: “أشرح كل ذلك لكي أعطي الحق للاعبين الصاعدين الذين تحملوا المسؤولية اليوم”.

West Ham United are thought to be exploring a move for Lille’s Jonathan Bamba before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

That’s according to the Express, who claim that the Irons view the 25-year-old as a potential alternative to Jesse Lingard but he should be considered regardless of whether last season’s loan sensation returns to the London Stadium.

As Football FanCast have already explained this week, the 5 foot 9 dynamo would be a mouthwatering prospect alongside free-scoring Hammers talisman, Michail Antonio.

And that’s largely due to his creative exploits from both the flank and through the middle.

Breaking the Lines journalist Zach Lowry waxed lyrical about these attributes back in February this year, just as Lille were starting to mount a serious charge on the Ligue 1 title, which they eventually won over big-spending Paris Saint-Germain.

“Jonathan Bamba has established himself as the creative leader of this Lille team this season,” he tweeted. “He was the ‘fourth wheel’ from the 2018/19 side with Nicolas Pépé, Jonathan Ikoné and Rafael Leão, but he’s cemented himself as their talisman — everything runs through him in attack.”

Indeed, the former France U21 international, who is currently valued at £22.5m by Transfermarkt, played a crucial role under Christophe Galtier last season – as per Transfermarkt, he provided six goals and 11 assists in 38 league appearances, managing a direct contribution every 176 minutes.

This sort of presence should draw plenty of similarities to that of Dimitri Payet, the last true player to regularly have supporters on the edge of their seats in east London.

In 48 appearances for West Ham, the technically-gifted Payet delivered 11 goals and 18 assists, and perhaps it could’ve been so much more. Even after his exit, no West Ham player could match his chances created since the 2015 season, which speaks volumes.

He is arguably the Irons’ greatest-ever playmaker in the modern era and on the above evidence, Bamba could certainly follow in his footsteps if signed. That is why the arrival of Lingard should not matter, because the Lille star can play wide, too – just like Payet, who has played more times at left-wing than any other role.

Described as ‘lightning-quick,’ the 25-year-old could well have the attributes to eclipse his fellow countryman’s exploits at the Hammers.

David Moyes must look to sanction a swoop for Bamba before next week. He would be one exciting addition to the side that’s currently sat top of the Premier League table.
