تعرض الدولي الفرنسي كيليان مبابي لاعب باريس سان جيرمان لإصابة في مواجهة كلوب بروج التي تجمع بينهما في دوري أبطال أوروبا.

باريس سان جيرمان يواجه كلوب بروج على ملعب الأخير، ضمن الجولة الاولى من دور المجموعات ببطولة دوري أبطال أوروبا.

وتعرض كيليان مبابي لإصابة في الكاحل خلال الشوط الأول وغادر الملعب لكن بعد دقيقتين دخل من جديد ليستكمل الشوط، الذي انتهى 1/1 بين الفريقين.

في الشوط الثاني، لم يتمكن كيليان مبابي من استكمال اللقاء وغادر في الدقيقة 51 بعدما عاودته الإصابة، ليدخل بدلًا منه ماورو إيكاردي في تغيير اضطراري للنادي الفرنسي.

يبقى أن ننتظر بيان رسمي أو تصريح من باريس سان جيرمان، لتشخيص إصابة كيليان مبابي، بعد المشاركة الأولى في دوري أبطال أوروبا هذا الموسم.

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho faces an exodus of players in the summer.

At 35 years of age, it could be argued that Silva’s best years are behind him.

His contract with the French giants will run out at the end of the month and PSG are unwilling to offer him an extension.

However, the Brazilian has shown no signs of slowing down anytime soon, playing 6 games in the Champions League this season, making 1.5 tackles per game, averaging 1.3 interceptions, and completing 3.5 clearances on average (WhoScored).

In comparison, Tanganga has been one of the few positive talking points in a difficult season for the Lilywhites. He has played in a variety of positions across the back line and impressed backroom staff during his debut against Liverpool.

Despite his best efforts, Spurs have alarmingly conceded more goals in the Premier League than Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United at the time of writing.

Mourinho is in the market for a new centre-back as he bids to fix his team’s defensive frailties.

Although Tanganga will likely save the club millions in the future if he can maintain his impressive form, he is still at the beginning of his career and would be able to pick up tips and tricks from the Brazil skipper.

The combination of Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld, which has been watertight in the past, has faltered this season, and with the former clearly on his way out the door, there is room for another veteran to take his place in the squad.

Therefore, his experience at the top levels of the game could prove vital as Spurs look to challenge for trophies next season, and he would surely be a shrewd signing to make if the board can convince him to take a pay cut.

However, the report adds Daniel Levy may baulk at his wage demands, which are worth roughly £350k-a-week. It is hard to imagine the chairman will be willing to splash the cash on salaries, as the club have borrowed £175m from the Bank of England to cover the costs of the pandemic.

According to The Chronicle journalist Lee Ryder, the issue of piracy has “clearly” been the fact that has “caused tension” behind Newcastle’s proposed takeover.

As Ryder points out, the consortium are trying to make it abundantly clear to the Premier League that the issue of piracy is something they are keen to “stamp out”.

The fact that this whole process has now dragged on for months suggests those responsible for deliberating over the plans are still yet to be wholly convinced.

Ryder further added that despite the delay, the message remains the same that they are still optimistic over the deal eventually going through, but that opposition from MPs and Hatice Cengiz, have ensured the Premier League have had to respond to those claims.

It’s very much a waiting game for now.

Manchester United take a break from the Premier League to focus on the FA Cup this evening when they travel to Wembley to face Chelsea in the semi-finals.

Man United can’t seem to stop scoring, as the Red Devils extended their unbeaten run to 19 games in all competitions, stretching back to a shock defeat to Burnley at Old Trafford in January. United maintained their unrelenting pursuit of a place in the Champions League by beating Crystal Palace 2-0 at Selhurst Park on Thursday night.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have beaten Chelsea three times already this season and this could be the perfect chance for the manager to rest some weary legs.

Transfer Tavern has worked on a predicted starting lineup, which sees Solskjaer make seven changes from the side that started against the Eagles.

Solskjaer and Frank Lampard will have their hands full as they try to weigh up the importance of the FA Cup with Champions League qualification.

While there is no doubt both teams will want to come away with the win, they could take the opportunity to give some key players a rest in order to keep them for the final two league games of the season.

The Red Devils have an easier run on paper at least, as they still have to face West Ham and Leicester City, while Chelsea will have played Premier League champions Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers by the end of the month.

United’s main attacking quartet have earned rave reviews, but Solskjaer may decide to break them up in preparation for the closing stages of the league.

However, he will surely want to keep a couple of his biggest stars on the pitch, and Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford will be licking their lips at taking on Chelsea’s leaky defence. The Blues have shipped nearly 50 goals in the league this season and Rashford will be looking to add to the brace he scored against them in the Carabao Cup last October.

Although Anthony Martial has been in fine form since the Premier League restart, Odion Ighalo should slot back in to the side to make his first start for the club since the 2-1 victory over Norwich in the quarter-finals of this competition.

Following a similar trend, Paul Pogba drops to the bench, ending his formidable partnership with Fernandes for the time being. Nemanja Matic and Fred step up in his place, while Scott McTominay misses out as well.

Brandon Williams and Luke Shaw are doubts for the clash with Chelsea after picking up injuries earlier in the week, so Timothy Fosu-Mensah could earn his second start in as many games after starring against Palace.

Meanwhile, Diogo Dalot will likely get one last chance to prove himself in front of Solskjaer, and Sergio Romero comes in for David De Gea between the sticks.

United will likely go into the game as favourites, as they have won four out of the past six games with the Blues. Nevertheless, Solskjaer will be taking nothing for granted as he plots to add another trophy to the cabinet at Old Trafford.
