Manchester United are expected to undergo somewhat of a squad overhaul this summer, but should they cash in on Romelu Lukaku?

According to various reports, Lukaku is a target for Internazionale.

The San Siro outfit are hoping to bring in Antonio Conte as their new manager, and the ex-Chelsea boss is a long time admirer of United’s number nine.

Inter will reportedly offer £30m and Ivan Perisic for the Belgian international, while the Red Devils would prefer to see Milan Skriniar join as part of the deal.

Lukaku has taken plenty of stick from fans at Old Trafford over the last two seasons, but he has racked up 42 goals and 13 assists in 96 appearances.

“It’s tricky one but in my opinion, Manchester United shouldn’t cash in on Romelu Lukaku. Even the best players in world football have a bad season here and there. And has the big Belgian’s campaign really been as bad as people say? He’s still notched 15 goals in all competitions. Lukaku needs to find a way of putting himself at the top of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans and the new manager needs to figure out a system built around the 26-year-old. But this shouldn’t be the end of the road for Lukaku and United.”

“Absolutely not. United would be barking mad to cash in on Lukaku this summer. Yes he’s been sluggish at times but he’s one of the few players in that front line who has actually displayed some sort of consistency in his time with the club. He’s a natural goalscorer and his predatory instinct is something that can help bring the good times back to Old Trafford. They simply have to keep hold of him.”

“Enough is enough, yes they should. Lukaku simply isn’t good enough to be a Man United number 9 and he needs replacing this summer. The Red Devils should be targeting a quick striker – to play alongside two speedy wingers – so they can be a real threat to opposition defences and on the counter-attack next season. The sluggish Belgian simply doesn’t fit the bill and won’t improve in that respect given his natural build. Ed Woodward would have the last laugh by selling Lukaku for a decent fee and replacing him with the type of striker United really need.”

صحيفة “سبورت” الإسبانية، أكدت أن إميلي روسو أعلن ترشحه لانتخابات برشلونة الشهر المقبل.

روسو هو مالك شركة Factor Energia، وهي شركة يعمل بها أكثر من 400 عامل، وتبلغ فواتيرها حوالي 400 مليون يورو سنويًا، ويريد أن ينقذ برشلونة من الأزمة الاقتصادية التي يواجهها النادي.

يرى روسو أنه يجب عليه اتباع طريقه الخاص، في برنامجه الانتخابي، وسيقدم خطوط رئيسية لمشروعه الاقتصادي والرياضي، ومع الأشخاص الذين سيرافقونه في مجلس الإدارة.

وسيعلن روسو رسميًا ترشحه في مؤتمر صحفي غدًا الخميس، من مدينة كتالونيا، التي يقع بها نادي برشلونة.

أفادت تقارير صحفية إنجليزية، أن نادي آرسنال تراجع عن ضم الدولي الدنماركي، كرستيان إريكسن، صانع ألعاب إنتر ميلان الإيطالي.

إريكسن ارتبط بالعودة إلى إنجلترا عبر بوابة آرسنال، بعدما انتقل في يناير الماضي إلى إنتر ميلان الإيطالي، قادمًا من توتنهام، لكنه كافح للتكيف مع أسلوب كرة القدم في إيطاليا.

صحيفة “ميرور” الإنجليزية، أكدت أن آرسنال قرر التراجع عن ضم اللاعب الدنماركي صاحب الـ28 عامًا، والذي لم يلعب في مركزه منذ انتقاله إلى إنتر ميلان.

وأشارت الصحيفة إلى أن ميكيل أرتيتا، المدير الفني لنادي آرسنال، لديه أولويات أخرى لتدعيمها، أبرزها مركز قلب الدفاع، لذلك لا يرغب في ضم إريكسن.

وهناك اهتمام كبير باللاعب الدنماركي من باريس سان جيرمان الفرنسي، وبوروسيا دورتموند الألماني.

New Scotland manager Steve Clarke has named his first international squad and there was no room for any Rangers players – including midfielder Ryan Jack.

The 27-year-old has been a stand-out in Steven Gerrard’s team over the last 12 months, with many Ibrox fans feeling he is now a vital part of the starting XI.

Pundits such as Barry Ferguson had recently tipped him to play a big role in upcoming qualifiers for Scotland, but it appears Clarke disagrees with that kind of assessment.

Scotland play Belgium and Cyprus next month and the former Killie boss appears to have turned to players he knows and trusts to pick up good results in his first big tests as manager.

Jack has previously won six caps with his country but with strong competition like Callum McGregor and Stuart Armstrong available in midfield, he could have an uphill battle to convince his new international manager he is worthy of inclusion.

وطالب فيدال الحكم باحتساب ركلة جزاء في الشوط الأول من المباراة بعد احتكاك مع، لوكا مودريتش، ولكن الحكم رفض وأمر باستمرار اللعب لكن استمرار التشيلي وزملاءه في الاعتراض، أجبر تايلور على إخراج البطاقة الصفراء مرتين في أقل من نصف دقيقة وطرد اللاعب.

وأظهرت الكاميرات التي تابعت المباراة من شبكة “Gol TV” الإسبانية كلمات فيدال وهو يصرخ في وجه الحكم قبل طرده: “اذهب إلى الـ VAR وشاهد هناك شيئًا قذر قد حدث ولم تحتسب أي شيء”.

ومع تكرر طلب التشيلي والاعتراض على الحكم، لم يجد الأخير حلا سوى طرده بإنذارين ليصبح إنتر ميلان بـ 10 لاعبين فقط منذ الدقيقة 33 من زمن المباراة التي أقيمت على ملعب “جوسيبي مياتزا”.

وخسر إنتر ميلان للمرة الثانية على التوالي أمام ريال مدريد في المجموعة الثانية ببطولة دوري أبطال أوروبا بهدفين نظيفين أحرزهما، إدين هازارد وأشرف حكيمي بالخطأ في مرماه.

According to The Daily Mail, Aston Villa are expected to make a bid for Nottingham Forest attacker Joe Lolley as they look to strengthen their squad following their promotion to the Premier League.

The Daily Mail report that the forward is at the top of Dean Smith’s list for a spot on the right wing, although he could cost the Midlands club £10m should they want to prise him away from The City Ground.

The 26-year-old certainly enjoyed an impressive 2018/19 campaign for the Reds, scoring 11 goals and providing a further 11 assists in 46 Championship appearances.

Remarkably, one of those goals and four of those assists came in the incredible 5-5 draw at Villa Park in November, with the former Huddersfield Town man finding the net with a brilliant long-range strike as well as having a hand in the rest of his team’s goals.

That evening was a clear sign of the quality that Lolley has in his locker, and the scout report from that encounter alone should have been enough to convince Villa to make their move.

The image above shows the impressive technique of the 26-year-old, who has proven himself to be a top, top player at this level.

Scoring brilliant goals at Villa Park may be something the home faithful need to get used to if a deal does materialise, before the summer transfer window closes prior to the start of the Premier League campaign in August.

Given the money Smith should have in his kitty following promotion, it may well be a smart move to spend a chunk of that on a player capable of producing moments of genius out of nothing.

The shocking loss in their chance to win the UEFA Europa League not only ruined Arsenal’s UEFA Champions League dreams next season, but would surely have had a massive effect on their transfer budget.

Without the Champions League bonus, the club are now stuck with a meagre budget (previously reported by the Daily Mail to be just £45m) which obviously isn’t enough for the sheer number of world-class additions the club need to get back to where they belong.

So, Unai Emery will obviously need to rely upon scouting and modern-day bargains to boost his squad. However, Arsenal’s scouting system makes thing a lot easier, as according to reports from TuttoSport (via The Metro), the Gunners have singled out Sampdoria stars Joachim Andersen and Dennis Praet for the summer.

The core for Sampdoria’s success last season, Andersen, as well as Praet, impressed in their respective positions in a league as tactically advanced as Serie A. That’d be nice, wouldn’t it? Some tactical intelligence in the ranks.

Indeed, centre-back Andersen’s the best fit for the North London side, proving the assertive, strong defender they’re missing. Impressively, the 23-year-old helped Sampdoria keep 11 clean-sheets last season, averaging 4.5 clearances and 2.8 aerial battles won per game (stats via WhoScored) to contain opposition. Not bad going.

Praet, meanwhile, was a wonder higher up the pitch, looking the creative lynchpin for his side. The 25-year-old’s impressive ability to thread together defence-splitting passes, mobility going forward and hard-working nature makes him fit for Emery’s system. You know, everything Mesut Ozil is supposed to be.

While neither Andersen nor Praet are the star signings such a club would usually make, they make a lot of sense economically. Indeed, even if Arsenal have to raise their offer to around £44m (as the report states), it’d still add up. Yes, it’s all of their budget – give a take a million or so if the Mail’s report we mentioned earlier is to be believed – but these are two quality players in key areas.

The young centre-back and playmaker would bring an effective mixture of defensive steel and intelligence in attack to help make Arsenal the compact unit Emery needs to succeed.

أكد المدرب الإنجليزي فرانك لامبارد، المدير الفني لنادي تشيلسي، أنّ فريقه سيقاتل من أجل تحقيق الفوز على إشبيلية، وتصدر مجموعته في دوري أبطال أوروبا.

تشيلسي وإشبيلية حسما تأهلهما بالفعل إلى دور الـ16 بدوري الأبطال، حيث يتواجد البلوز في صدارة المجموعة برصيد 10 نقاط، وهو نفس رصيد النادي الأندلسي، ولكن النادي اللندني يتصدر بفارق الأهداف.

تشيلسي يحل ضيفًا على إشبيلية، مساء غدًا الأربعاء، على ملعب “رامون سانشيز بيزخوان”، ضمن لقاءات الجولة الخامسة من دور المجموعات في دوري الأبطال.

وقال لامبارد في المؤتمر الصحفي عشية المباراة: “نحن في كامل لياقتنا البدنية وعلى ما يُرام، ومُستعدون للمباراة”.

وأضاف: “هذه المباراة ستكون فرصة للتناوب بين للاعبين؟ نعم سأفعل ذلك لأسباب مُختلفة، بعض اللاعبين كانوا يلعبون كثيرًا، كنا نتحدث عن الجدول المزدحم”.

وواصل: “هناك لاعبون أيضًا لم يلعبوا في المباريات السابقة، لدينا لاعبين هامين لم يحصلوا على فرص، ويستحقون الحصول على فرص، نحن لا نتعامل مع المُباراة باستخفاف، على الرغم من تأهلنا، هدفنا أنّ نتصدر المجموعة”.

وأردف: “لا أتوقع انخفاضًا في المستوي، ولكن ستكون هُناك فرصة لبعض اللاعبين للحصول على بعض الدقائق، نريد أنّ نكون في صدارة المجموعة، ذلك سيكون مفيدًا لنا بكل تأكيد، أنا لا أجد صعوبة في تحفيز اللاعبين، الآن هُناك لاعبون سيجب عليهم إظهار سبب وجودهم هُنا”.

واسترسل: “علينا أنّ نكون مركزين للغاية في المباراة، سنواجه فريق جيد، وعلينا أنّ تقديم أداء أفضل مما قدمناه في ستامفورد بريدج، حيث لم نكن جيدين كما ينبغي، نحن فقط بحاجة إلى الذهاب لـ هُناك بثقة، نحن نلعب بشكل جيد وسوف نحترمهم كفريق واحد”.

وأتم تصريحاته قائلًا: “فخور جدًا بإدارة هذا النادي وأن أكون في دوري أبطال أوروبا لأنها أفضل بطولة في العالم، أنا فخور بالذهاب إلى إشبيلية لأنها مدينة رائعة، لسوء الحظ لا يكون هناك تواجد جماهيري، لكن اللعب في ملعبهم سيكون أمرًا مُثيرًا، علينا تقديم كل ما لدينا في المباراة”.

أكدت صحيفة “Fosonline” اليونانية على استمرار غياب مهاجم الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي أولمبياكوس، أحمد حسن كوكا، عن مباراة فولوس بالجولة الحادية عشر من بطولة الدوري اليوناني.

ويخوض أولمبياكوس متصدر جدول الترتيب برصيد 22 نقطة مباراة قوية أمام فولوس صاحب المركز الخامس والذي يضم بين صفوفه جناح منتخب مصر، عمرو وردة، يوم السبت المقبل في تمام الساعة السابعة والنصف مساءً بتوقيت “القاهرة”.

غياب كوكا قد لا يكون فقط أمام فولوس بل قد يمتد لمباراة بورتو في الجولة السادسة والأخيرة من دور المجموعات ببطولة دوري أبطال أوروبا والتي تقام بعد أسبوع وتحديدًا يوم، الأربعاء.

Everybody loves a good bromance. Whether it’s on the pitch or off it, fans love seeing players beginning to develop close relationships with each other.

After the end of the Nations League brought down the curtains on their seasons, Leicester star Ben Chilwell took to Instagram to post a snap of himself and Jadon Sancho, with the pair seemingly developing a close bond after making their first start and debut against Croatia last October respectively.

The picture prompted Sancho to reply with similarly affectionate words and a real indication of how the duo have forged a friendship together whilst on international duty.

Both enjoyed impressive campaigns for their respective club sides, with Sancho in particular taking the footballing world by storm after registering 12 goals and 17 assists in the Bundesliga alone last season.

Chilwell’s upturn in form this campaign also drew rave reviews, with his performance against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium towards the closing stages of the season seeing Pep Guardiola offer him words of praise and encouragement.

With reports earlier this year suggesting that Sancho could be making his return to the Premier League, the duo’s bromance could be tested out in English football sooner rather than later.
