Premier League ticket prices and packages for 2023-2024 season

The Premier League is the biggest and best league in the world, and the ticket prices reflect that. Since its inception in 1992, it has produced unrivaled action and drama, bringing some of the biggest names in football history to England (and sometimes Wales).

English football has become a financial powerhouse, with more traditional European leagues like La Liga and Serie A now lagging behind. Fans from across the world now tune in to watch Brighton and Hove Albion play Crystal Palace, an idea that would have been unthinkable 35 years ago.

Whether you're looking to go and support your local team, or make the trip to see one of the league's giants, Football Fancast has you covered. Here we will break down the prices for each Premier League club and explain the variables that may affect them.

The most expensive Premier League season tickets revealed

What is the price of a Premier League ticket?

Down to the brass tax. Premier League ticket prices depend on a lot of things. There isn't a set price per fan, and it will vary depending on age, with most clubs offering cheaper tickets for students or over-65s. Even then, they will still depend on the size of the club. Manchester City will charge more than Luton Town for example.

There will also be price differences depending on where you want to sit. If you're looking to sit right be the manager and substitutes, expect to pay a premium. If you're happy to watch the match from the upper-stands, you won't have to pay as much.

Below, Football Fancast has compiled a rough list of the cheapest to the most expensive tickets for each club in the Premier League (as per GOAL). It doesn't matter if you want to sign 'You'll Never Walk Alone' with the rest of the Kopites, or hang out with that dog that watches the game at Kenilworth Road, we have you covered.

Can I buy cheap Premier League tickets?

Unfortunately, the short answer is no, not really. The long answer is if you have a mate who can't get to the game and is willing to give you his ticket on the cheap. The best and most reliable place to get tickets from will always be with the club you want to go and watch. If you want to go and see Unai Emery's lads play at Villa Park, then check out the club's website.

There are of course third-party companies such as Seat Pick you can get them from, but don't be surprised if you get stuck having to pay some sort of excessive service charge, or similar. Play it safe and go through the club. At least that way you'll help keep the players in Louis Vuitton.

What does a Premier League ticket get you?

Tickets for the game are exactly that. If you want to go and check out the club's museum or take a tour, you will have to pay for that separately. It's the same for any kind of food or beverage you're looking to enjoy on your day out. Even the match programme will cost you extra. You may get a cool little plastic flag though!

Do you need a membership to buy Premier League tickets?

Some Premier League clubs give priority ticketing to 'members', fans who pay a little extra per season so they're able to get tickets as soon as possible. This does make it harder for the casual fan, with many seats taken before they even have the opportunity to buy them.

Availability will depend on timing and who you want to go and watch. Try and get the tickets as early as possible, and if you're not too bothered about who they're playing, it will be easier to get a ticket. It would be easier to get a ticket for Liverpool vs Sheffield United, than Liverpool vs Manchester United, for example.

So keep your eyes peeled!

How can tourists buy Premier League tickets?

You can purchase tickets from official club websites or the ticket office, in person or over the phone. All this kind of information can be found from a simple google of the team you're trying to go and see.

And, clubs will also provide details of any authorised ticket partners on their official website. So, as mentioned above, it's definitely worth finding the tickets section first off on the website of the club you want to see, though sometimes tickets can be sold out before they reach public sale, with different membership levels being granted different types of early access to sales.

If you buy tickets from an unauthorised source, whether that be an unauthorised website, an online marketplace or a ticket tout outside the ground, you risk not being given entry to the match and losing the money you paid.

Tickets sold by touts are likely to become void and do not give you the right to enter the stadium to watch the match, or can you lead to you being removed from the stadium.

Other clubs have cancelled thousands of memberships for fraudulent ticketing activity (as per Premier League).

How to get a Premier League season ticket?

Season tickets are gold dust. Unfortunately, only a few thousand are able to fit into the average Premier League ground out of the millions of fans wanting to go and watch. Clubs will prioritise fans that already have season tickets, making it even harder. Demand is currently so high, that there are no season tickets available for Premier League clubs. Better luck next time.

Why do some Premier League games cost more than others?

Local and footballing rivalries are one of the reasons that make the Premier League so great. Of course, the powers that be would want to make some extra cash. Circumstances and demand will change throughout the season.

Football flows like a river, it would be very tricky to get tickets for a last day of the season, a title-deciding game between Manchester City and Arsenal. But if Manchester United continue to disappoint, then don't be surprised if their tickets stay and the normal price are easier to get.

Who has the cheapest and most expensive Premier League hospitality package?

That sounds great! Get ready to spend thousands of pounds! Again, these tickets will vary throughout the season, with prices being more expensive depending on things like who's playing and how the season is going.

Manchester City offers the priciest package, for £4,200pp you have access to their prestigious Tunnel club, with complimentary food and drink, a VIP box, and autographed goodies. They can only be purchased in twos though, so you'll have to take a date or a mate.

Unsurprisingly, Luton Town offer the cheapest, and no, it's not watching the game in a random bloke's living room. Their Boot Room hospitality package would set you back £350pp.

T10 league eyeing international expansion in 2019

Shaji Ul Mulk, the league’s chairman, is currently in talks with ‘a few’ national boards; picks out USA, England and South Africa as potential markets

Barny Read27-Nov-2018

The T10 League is eyeing international expansion, with Shaji Ul Mulk, the league’s chairman, in discussions with ‘a few’ international boards over taking the tournament abroad in 2019.The ICC-sanctioned event currently operates in conjunction and with the approval of the Emirates Cricket Board at its UAE home. Ul Mulk is adamant that the format will only exist in commercially viable markets, where it is held with both the blessing and collaboration of the respective national board.”Boards are coming to us and it’s all about how we fit in commercially. We will probably have one more T10 in 2019; that’s our ambition,” Ul Mulk told . We are talking to a few boards, but it depends on how it goes. One thing is very clear: we only want to work with boards.”While he stopped short of mentioning the boards he is currently engaged in dialogue with, Ul Mulk spoke favourably of the USA, England and South Africa as potential markets. The USA, in particular, Ul Mulk felt, can benefit from the infiltration of the league, which can help in the growth of the sport in the country. According to the T10 head, Cricket Australia is not one of those involved in discussions, but is nevertheless another corner of the world where he sees opportunity.”Australia would be very interesting for us, but we’ve not started talking to them yet. They’re not one of the three boards that I’ve mentioned. But that would surely be a great market and there a lot of great markets for us.”The US market is great, the UK market is excellent for cricket, and South Africa, too, for that matter. With T10 the way it is, with 90 minutes [of] cricket, [it] actually opens up new markets that cricket doesn’t have now.”For us, the US is one of those big markets where we feel that we can reconnect cricket there. Cricket can have a strong place in the US, which it doesn’t have at the moment.”There have also been rumblings of more franchises in the offing to diversify the league’s ownership group. Ul Mulk, however, denied it, saying that any new investment is – at least for the time being – not aiming to bring new teams into the league.”It’s possible [to have new franchises], but for the immediate future, in 2019 and 2020, I’m not looking to increase the number of teams. The whole idea is that the existing franchises have to become more commercially successful.”Ul Mulk hoped that the teams can do just that by increasing the shared revenue pot that each franchise contributes to and the league pays out of. He is, however, welcoming investment from prospective partnerships, and said that an ongoing evaluation in the league will be reviewed at the end of the season that includes potential commercial growth.”Diversifying or liquidating your ownership – there is nothing wrong with that. Major international companies and media houses are talking to us, but we are taking our time and doing the evaluation,” he said. “Once we finish the evaluation, we could be looking at liquidating some shares, but as strategic partners.”What I’m looking for is a strategic partner that adds value to the league rather than just money. As things stand, the T10 League isn’t like the IPL or PSL that are massive leagues, we are a small league. So money is not really required for running the league.”

Meet the Sunderland academy star who could replace Jack Clarke

Jack Clarke came to the rescue again for Sunderland when the Black Cats travelled to Millwall last match, scoring a second-half penalty to level the scores at the Den late on and help his team pick up a share of the points.

Sunderland are experiencing a minor wobble in form in the division – Tony Mowbray's promotion hopefuls dropping to ninth recently with only one win from their last five second-tier encounters – but Clarke consistently remains the Black Cats hero even when games are slipping out of their grasp.

The former Tottenham winger has managed to hit double figures already for goals this campaign, scoring ten times whilst assisting one further goal from down the flanks.

Sunderland are overly reliant on the tricky forward to score crucial goals however, Dan Neil and Jobe Bellingham coming in next in the top scorer charts with an inferior three goals.

Mowbray will be currently anxious that Clarke's continued electric form for the Black Cats will see Premier League suitors reignite interest in the 23-year-old this January, alongside further transfer reports linking Trai Hume with a move away from the Stadium of Light to Leeds United unsettling the 60-year-old even more.

Sunderland could sign EFL star who's an "absolute joke"

With Sunderland’s strikers still yet to get off the mark for the season, Tony Mowbray’s side could go all out and buy this striker in January.

ByKelan Sarson Dec 3, 2023

Sunderland could well look inward for an immediate replacement if Clarke does depart in the upcoming transfer window, U21s star Ellis Taylor excellent in the Premier League 2 this campaign.

Ellis Taylor's statistics at youth level

Taylor – who has played in a number of positions at youth level for Sunderland – has amassed 12 goals from 47 starts for the U21s since making the step up from U18s football.

The 20-year-old has predominantly scored those goals playing down the left-hand side of the pitch, either as an outright winger or as an expansive full-back bombing down the pitch to help his team maraud forward.

In the Premier League 2 this season, Taylor has even slotted in at right-back from time to time – the versatile youngster even picked up an assist playing in this unorthodox role against Tottenham U21 in late October.

Adaptable at filling in wherever needed, Taylor could be a useful option to bring into the first team not just for the possibility of Clarke moving on but also for Hume exiting the building.

Ellis Taylor's style of play

This ability to play all over the pitch did confuse then-Hartlepool manager Keith Curle when the 20-year-old was loaned out to the Pools last season, Curle cutting Taylor's loan short owing to the fact the former Manchester City player turned manager didn't know where his best position was.

Mowbray will want to utilise his young player's versatility better, but the Black Cats will have to tie their multifaceted youngster down to a new deal sooner rather than later to keep him at the Stadium of Light – Taylor's deal with the club running out in June next year.

With Sunderland boasting a reputation now for nurturing youngsters properly and giving them a chance within the first-team fold, Taylor could slot into the line-up in the not-so-distant future for the Black Cats and fill gaps left behind by current stars rumoured to be on their way out this January.

Ingram, Laughlin render Stars shineless

Ingram combined with the Strikers’ captain, Travis Head, to stabilise a slow start for the hosts, before a late-order flurry from Jonathan Wells closed the innings at 178

The Report by Sam Perry in Adelaide11-Jan-2019

The Adelaide Strikers overcame a sluggish start to dismantle the Melbourne Stars in Adelaide as a Colin Ingram powershow and some miserly bowling proved enough to contain the visitors.Ingram combined with the Strikers’ captain, Travis Head, to stabilise a slow start for the hosts, before a late-order flurry from Jonathan Wells closed the innings at 178.The Stars started brightly with Ben Dunk and Evan Gulbis, but the spectre of Rashid Khan loomed large. An unplayable over or two from the Afghanistan superstar saw the Melbourne franchise fall behind the asking rate, from which they never recovered. The innings petered out as the Strikers’ bowlers shared the wickets, Ben Laughlin most impressive with 3 for 19, leaving the Strikers well-positioned as the competition hits the halfway point.Strikers motor after slow startOn a perfect Adelaide evening, the Stars won the flip and elected to field, hoping to limit a powerful Strikers batting line-up without Alex Carey on international duty, but welcoming Head back into the fold. They were greeted by a pristine batting surface, but Jackson Bird led an excellent start for the Stars, who held the home side to 2 for 25 from the first five overs. The pressure continued to build after each of Evan Gulbis, Ben Dunk and Dwayne Bravo delivered economical overs, as both Head and Ingram scrambled for rhythm. But they slowly built, taking the partnership from 48 off 42 balls, to then 55 from 47, before an expensive Plunkett over triggered a run spree. Head hit three sixes in a row, the first two over midwicket, then the third over long-off after Plunkett overcorrected. The returned Test batsman then tried to hit another over long-off, but holed out to Bird who took a comfortable catch. The damage largely done, Head departed for 43.Ingram continued where Head left off, taking Boland for a huge over while accompanied by a Rashid, who was promoted up the order. The move, as the Stars captain Maddinson confessed on-air, had “mucked up” his bowling plans. The Strikers captain was dismissed for 57 from 41 deliveries, leaving 19 balls left in the innings.A damaging spree of runs followed, as Wells took full toll of the Stars, combining with Harry Nielsen to plough 44 runs from the last three overs, which ultimately took the game away from the visitors.Rashid the catalystIt was as though the Stars knew they had to get the runs elsewhere. They started their chase brilliantly, taking 10 and 12 runs from the first two overs respectively, before Rashid was brought on, in the third over, to settle the pace. He did so, completely arresting the Stars’ Powerplay momentum by conceding only one from the over.Wes Agar was then introduced, and expensively so, before an athletic, sprawling catch at the deep-forward square leg boundary by Michael Neser brought Dunk undone from Ben Laughlin’s bowling. It was a quality catch, with Dunk swinging the ball away over leg, leaving Neser plenty of ground to make up before he snaffled it to his left.Stars FizzleNormally an asking rate of 10 with 10 overs remaining leaves a sporting chance, but it didn’t feel like that tonight. Once Maddinson, the captain, was removed for five, the remainder of the innings felt like a procession. It enabled Wes Agar to break his BBL wicket duck via a number of well-directed deliveries at offstump, and Laughlin to demonstrate his quality through his classic range of changes deliveries, both up and down. While their bowling just about held up well in the absence of Adam Zampa and Sandeep Lamichhane, the Stars batting is arguably hardest hit by the ODIs. They have to do without their nucleus of Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, and Peter Handscomb, though will welcome each of them back once the Tests begin. They’ll certainly look forward to every ounce of the trio’s firepower after tonight’s display, which revealed little depth. While a number of tonight’s Stars may be worthy of a handy contribution batting around the above-mentioned players, at this point they may struggle to post sizeable totals without them.

Arsenal keeping tabs on exciting teenage starlet who is available for £1m

Arsenal are monitoring a promising teenage talent as they consider bringing him to the Premier League in 2024, according to a fresh report.

Edu and Arteta building around young players

The Gunners have five squad members in the building as it stands who are aged 22 and under, with four of those in question being regular features of the first-team set-up, in the form of Jurrien Timber, Bukayo Saka, William Saliba and Gabriel Martinelli, all of whom are expected to be in north London for the long haul.

Mikel Arteta isn’t afraid to hand a chance to up-and-coming talents no matter their date of birth should they deserve the opportunity to prove what they are capable of, so that should encourage their transfer targets when they are thinking about joining.

Arsenal keen to sign player with "huge developmental potential" in January

He’s been on fire this season…

BySean Markus Clifford Dec 10, 2023

Reading attacking midfielder Caylan Vickers has worked his way up through his club’s various youth ranks to get promoted to their first-team, where he’s so far made a total of 18 senior appearances to date (Transfermarkt – Vickers statistics).

The 18-year-old has caught the eye of several elite managers with his impressive performances since stepping up to League One level, and if the following update is to be believed, Edu has been keeping tabs on the prodigy ahead of January.

Arsenal tracking Vickers ahead of January transfer window

According to The Sun, Arsenal are interested in Vickers, even though right now Real Madrid are the club who are in pole position to secure his services in the new year.

Arsenal have been keeping track of Vickers after he scored and impressed in a 5-2 win over the Gunners' Under-21 team in the Football League Trophy in November.

"However, in a shock move, Real Madrid have moved ahead of Arsenal after opening talks with Reading this week about a January swoop for their talented teenager. Cash-strapped Reading want £1million plus a percentage of any future sell-on deal.”

Arsenal's Emirates Stadium.

Vickers is a top prospect for the future

While Arsenal aren’t leading the race to sign Vickers, Arteta will know that he has bags of potential to offer and he’s already been showing that this season at Reading, so the boss and sporting director should fight to try and hijack this deal in the coming weeks.

Ruben Selles’ starlet has posted 19 contributions (ten assists and nine goals) in 53 appearances since the start of his career, which shows the positive impact that he can make in the final third, but he’s also comfortable playing in several areas of the pitch.

The English teenager is a versatile operator having been deployed in seven different positions following his arrival on the professional scene, including everywhere across the frontline and three roles in the midfield, which is an impressive feat for someone so young.

For all of the fantastic qualities that he possesses for someone still with so much room to grow, Vickers would undoubtedly be a wonderful purchase for the long-term future of the club, so it would be a huge coup if he was to have a change of heart regarding the destination of his new home.

Tom Latham's discipline inspires carpool buddy Henry Nicholls

‘You look back at Tommy’s 264 in Wellington, and for him to come out yesterday in the second innings and basically hit reset and do all that hard work again is pretty cool’

Two Christchurch boys putting on a 214-run stand on their home ground, in a Boxing Day Test – one learning off the other. This is roughly how Henry Nicholls summed up his fourth-wicket stand with friend Tom Latham, on a third day in which New Zealand took the second Test against Sri Lanka by the collar. Both batsmen made big hundreds; Latham produced 176 to follow his 264 not out in Wellington, while Nicholls hit a career-best 162 not out, two Tests after his most recent ton in Abu Dhabi, a world away.In this innings, Nicholls, who began cautiously against the second new ball before gaining momentum after lunch, said Latham’s discipline had “inspired” him.”It was pretty special to be out there for so long with Tommy,” Nicholls said. “We’re really great mates, we carpool every morning together to the ground, so to be out there and put on however many we did, a couple of hundred, and obviously the way he batted yesterday and continued that on today like he did at the Basin last week gave me a lot of inspiration to try and do the same and put us a team in a position where we’re now in a chance to win the game with a lot of time left.”ALSO READ – The importance of Henry NichollsNicholls batted 225 balls for his score, only twice having faced more balls in his Test career. Latham faced 370 deliveries for his, which takes his series tally to 889 – the third-most balls faced by anyone in a two-Test series.”You look back at Tommy’s 264 in Wellington, and for him to come out yesterday in the second innings and basically hit reset and do all that hard work again is pretty cool.” Nicholls said. “He’s a very resilient guy and is one of the most hard-working guys I know. To see him have the discipline to do that for another 300 balls in this innings, and to be out there batting with him, was pretty special.”Every New Zealand batsman who came to the crease in the second innings was involved in a 50-plus partnership at the very least, with the lowest individual score being Ross Taylor’s 40. Nicholls said the runs that had been scored prior to his arrival made his job that much easier at No. 5.”Guys at the top like Tom, Jeet Raval and Kane Williamson batted for long periods of time and made their bowlers – especially the seam bowlers – come back for more spells. We saw the fatigue factor with that later on. It was important for me and Tom to keep things really simple and know that when they do come back, you’re going to get scoring opportunities.”Immediately before New Zealand’s declaration, Nicholls put on an unbroken 124 off 87 balls with Colin de Grandhomme, who hit New Zealand’s fastest Test fifty, reaching the milestone off 28 balls.”The wicket here has a bit more pace than the one at Wellington and allows you to score quicker at times,” Nicholls said. “For Colin de Grandhomme to come in and show the class and X-factor he has, to really put that total to a big number was great.”
